Adult Half Day Clinics Terms and Conditions
Payment: A £50 deposit is due at the time of booking followed by the remaining balance to be paid two weeks prior to the course.
Payment can be made by cheque or debit & credit cards only; Cambridge Swimming Academy shall not accept payment in any other format. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Cambridge Swimming Academy Ltd’. Cambridge Swimming Academy may at its discretion accept late payment and reserves the right to add onto such payment a charge of 5% of the total payment due.
Cancellation: if you cancel your place on the course less than one week before the course is due to start, you shall be liable to account for the full payment as due. If you cancel your place on the course for what ever reason between 7 days and 14 days before it is due to start, you will lose your £50 deposit paid at the time of booking. Any cancellations due to disasters, terrorism, war and pandemics will not be refundable. See also Pool closures condition below.
Sickness: If you are sick then you will still be charged for your place on the course. If there are any signs of stomach upset and sickness in the family on the day of the arranged course or in the 7 days leading up to such course, you must inform Cambridge Swimming Academy and we reserve the right to cancel your place on the course due to the safety of you and others.
Medical Conditions: All medical conditions, irrespective of severity, must be declared in writing to us. Cambridge Swimming Academy will at its discretion decide whether such conditions will restrict your engagement in the course and shall duly notify you of such decision within 48 hours of notice of such condition being given. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically safe to swim. Cambridge Swimming Academy will not be deemed liable for any accidents or injuries arising from swimming with us, which relate to your individual medical conditions.
Pool and venue Closures can on rare occasions occur and will force us to cancel a course. If it is possible we will make up these courses within 2 weeks of such cancellation; although this is not guaranteed and shall be dependant on coach and venue availability. If a venue is closed due to a fault on our part that is within our control or on the venue's part, such as vomit or faeces in the water, then you will be fully credited for any courses missed.
Special Needs and Disabled students are welcome to attend courses where possible at all our venues, although we do not employ specially trained staff and can therefore not be held liable for the care of such students beyond the teaching of swimming techniques.
photography and video footage: You give permission for Cambridge Swimming Academy to take and publish photographs and videos of your swimming if we choose to. These images and videos will be used for the Cambridge Swimming Academy website and other future promotional material for the company.
Disclaimer: By enrolling onto one of our courses you are certifying that all personal information that you have provided us with is correct and agree to swim at your own risk. You certify that you understand the dangers associated with general swimming and open water swimming. You hold all responsibility for any injuries that may occur during a swim clinic or open water course or as a result of a swim clinic or open water course with Cambridge Swimming Academy Ltd and therefore agree to waiver responsibility and not make any claim against them. During all courses you accept responsibility for notifying the coach on each occasion of any relevant medical conditions.
You confirm that you are fit to swim and meet all minimum requirements to participate on any courses that you are enrolled onto.
